In the Anamur district of Mersin, a new camera recording and the statements of a person who testified on behalf of the victim family have been added to the case file regarding the death of 12-year-old Eyüp Can Güner, who died under suspicious circumstances in a passageway near the doner shop where he worked as an apprentice, and whose body was found with cuts.

NEW FOOTAGE ADDED TO THE FILE
In the case opened regarding the death of Eyüp Can Güner, the detained suspect Necmettin Ulaş is being tried at the Anamur Heavy Penal Court. At the hearing held on August 4, statements from a witness testifying on behalf of the victim's family were taken. In the witness statement, it was alleged that the detained suspect Ulaş threatened Eyüp Can Güner inside the döner shop.
In his previous statements, the detained suspect Ulaş had claimed that he entered the arcade and left immediately, and that he did not see Güner inside the arcade. However, in the new camera footage, the suspect Ulaş is seen remaining inside the arcade for 3 minutes.
STRIKING CLAIM FROM MOTHER GÜNER
Eyüp Can Güner's mother, Güllü Can, claimed that "the Forensic Medicine report was changed 9 months later." Can stated that in the Gülistan Doku investigation, the lawyer of former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel was the lawyer of the detained suspect Necmettin Ulaş, and said she was "worried about the alteration of evidence and hospital reports, as in the Gülistan Doku investigation."
"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM NOT TO HAVE SEEN EYÜP CAN"
Güner family's lawyer, Gurbet Bilbay, said: "The suspect said at the hearing, 'I chased Eyüp Can, yes I ran quickly, but my aim was to give advice.' Running that fast and previously, as our witnesses also stated, he had threatened him. There are only 4 seconds between them. It is impossible for him not to have caught Eyüp Can there. He enters the arcade, comes out, looks around, then goes back in, and after spending 3 minutes, he comes out again."
Bilbay, claiming that the detained suspect Necmettin Ulaş had contradictory statements, said: "He said the situation inside was 'pitch dark.' He claimed he 'didn't see anywhere in the arcade.' We conducted two inspections regarding this. We did them in the evening hours and at the time they requested. It was also the darkest period due to the seasonal timing. Our judge tried every way so there would be no objection. There was no situation where they could object. Even in the darkest period, we went inside, and it was not 'pitch dark' in any way. It is impossible for him not to have seen Eyüp Can there."
"WE WANT HIM TO BE PUNISHED FOR INTENTIONAL MANSLAUGHTER"
The court panel requested an additional defense as the case turned towards 'intentional manslaughter.' Our aim is already for him to be tried for intentional manslaughter. Because Eyüp Can did not fall; he was killed. Our only disadvantage here is the Forensic Medicine reports. Forensic Medicine reports came 3-4 times regarding this. They were contradictory; they requested a fifth report to resolve these contradictions. The cuts on Eyüp Can's body are already symmetrical cuts. Our only request is for the suspect to be punished for intentional manslaughter. His mother filed a complaint regarding this due to the contradictions in the Forensic Medicine reports."
