It was reported that the Greek Ministry of Defense presented an arms program worth approximately 5 billion Euros, which includes the import of weapons from Israel, to the relevant Parliamentary Committee. The program includes mobile anti-aircraft Patriot systems and drone defense systems, as well as Israeli-made Spyder and Barak MX air defense systems, along with the David's Sling system.

5 BILLION EURO ARMAMENT PROGRAM

According to a report by Kathimerini newspaper, the Ministry of Defense's 5 billion Euro armament program has been submitted to the Parliamentary Commission on Armament Programs and Contracts for discussion.

The report reminded that the committee meetings have a "confidential" nature, and it was stated that the program has not been accepted by all opposition parties. On the other hand, it was expressed that the Foreign Policy and Defense Commission will meet on March 23 to approve the program.

PATRIOT AND UAV DEFENSE SYSTEMS, SPYDER, DAVID'S SLING...

According to the newspaper, in addition to mobile anti-aircraft Patriot systems and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) defense systems, Israeli-made Spyder and Barak MX air defense systems, as well as the David's Sling system, have also been included in the program.

Other items presented to the Commission yesterday included the initiation of infrastructure works at Andravida Base to make it suitable for F-35 use and the modernization of MEKO-class frigates.
