Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, "(The events occurring in Syria) It is not correct to attribute them to any sect or religious group. It is of great importance to act with restraint and common sense against provocations aimed at turning the ongoing tensions into sectarian conflicts."

Hakan Fidan noted in a post on his X social media account that they held a historically significant meeting hosted by Jordan with Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES FROM FIDAN

Fidan stated that they came together to produce joint solutions to the chronic problems of the region and to take regional initiatives, and he reported that they discussed in detail issues closely related to Syria's stability, especially the fight against terrorism.

Hakan Fidan emphasized that they agreed to assist the newly established government in Syria in every aspect and to support all activities that ensure stability.

Fidan, who stated, "We must take responsibility to stand against Israel's expansionist policies in the region and to find a permanent solution to the Palestinian issue. Gaza is Palestinian land and will remain so," noted that the rhetoric and steps aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their homeland are doomed to fail.

REMINDING OF THE JOINT DECISION TAKEN

Fidan recalled that they made a decision to establish a joint operation and intelligence mechanism against the terrorist organization ISIS during the meeting, stating that the expert teams of the parties would detail and quickly implement the process.

"As long as we act together, we will provide stronger contributions to regional peace and security. Today's Quint Security Summit is a very important step taken in this direction," Fidan stated, reminding that the next meeting will be hosted by Turkey.

CALL FOR RESTRAINT FOR SYRIA

Fidan drew attention to the recent observations of some circles attempting to activate social fault lines to create instability in Syria, and he stated:

"It is not correct to attribute events to any sect or religious group. It is of great importance to act with restraint and common sense against provocations aimed at turning the ongoing tensions into sectarian conflicts."
