The defense of a motorcycle rider, who was stopped by traffic teams in Antalya and found to be unlicensed, was shocking. The rider claimed that he got on the vehicle thinking it was an electric bicycle and that he did not know a license was required. A total fine of 54,059 TL was imposed on the rider and the vehicle owner.
During a motorcycle operation carried out by the Manavgat Traffic Inspection Bureau teams of the Antalya Police Department in front of the old district governor's office on Antalya Street, a motorbike without a license plate and whose driver was not wearing a helmet was stopped and fined.
NO LICENSE PLATE, HELMET, AND DRIVER'S LICENSE
During the inspection, it was determined that the license plate of a motorbike stopped by the traffic teams was under the seat, and the driver did not have a driver's license.
"I DIDN'T KNOW A LICENSE WAS REQUIRED"
The motorbike user, Furkan K., stated that he rode the vehicle because he thought it was an electric bicycle and that no license was needed. The traffic police informed the young man that the vehicle was not electric but a motorbike, and that there was a requirement for a license plate and driver's license, and that he also needed to wear a helmet.
A TOTAL FINE OF 54 THOUSAND 59 TL WAS IMPOSED
A total fine of 54 thousand 59 TL was imposed on Furkan K. for driving without a driver's license (18 thousand 677 TL), for not having a license plate on the motorbike (15 thousand 712 TL), for not wearing a helmet (993 TL), and for allowing an unlicensed person to drive the motorbike (18 thousand 677 TL).
