Former treasurer of Ahbap Association, Hüseyin Küçük, testified against Haluk Levent in his police statement. Küçük claimed that checks issued on behalf of the association were distributed to other individuals, and he alleged that when he learned of this, he had "very serious fights" with Haluk Levent and his assistant Yeliz Kaya.
Former treasurer of the Ahbap Association, Hüseyin Küçük, made striking allegations against Association President Haluk Levent and his assistant Yeliz Kaya in his statement to the police.
"MANY PEOPLE WERE VICTIMIZED THROUGH CHECK AND PROMISSORY NOTE DEALINGS"
Küçük, who claimed that checks issued on behalf of the association were irregularly distributed to other individuals, alleged that he had very heated arguments with Levent and Kaya after learning about this situation. Küçük claimed that experienced board members were removed from the association and replaced by a new board composed of association employees. Küçük further alleged that following this process, the association was used for check, promissory note, and real estate transactions, resulting in many people being victimized.
"CHECKS WERE USED AFTER MY DEPARTURE"
Hüseyin Küçük was asked about the check images found during the preliminary examination of his confiscated mobile phone. According to the statement record, it was determined that some check images belonging to VakıfBank were found in the "Photos > Other > Recently Deleted" section of Küçük's phone. The investigation units asked Küçük about the business or transaction for which these checks were issued, why the images were on the phone, and what he knew about the fate of the checks.
Küçük, however, argued that the checks came to light after his departure from the Ahbap Association management. Claiming that the checks were issued by Haluk Levent on behalf of the Ahbap Association Economic Enterprise, Küçük stated that he heard these checks were used in "trade receivable-payable matters."
In his statement, Küçük noted that his relationship with the Ahbap Association began in 2021 or 2022, he served as treasurer from 2022 until May 2024, and he left the association in May 2024.
"ALL IRREGULARITIES BELONG TO THE PERIOD AFTER MY DEPARTURE"
Küçük made a clear distinction regarding the period after May 2024. "I cannot know whether there were any irregularities after this date," said Küçük, arguing that all the irregularities alleged in the file belong to the period after his departure from management.
