AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to Israel's occupation policies in Palestinian territories and the controversial stance of the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. Çelik stated, "The support of the U.S. Ambassador to Israel for the Netanyahu government in the killing of children in Gaza is inhumane and a horrific approach."
Following Israel's announcement that it has ended ceasefire violations and halted its attacks, diplomatic contacts have accelerated to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the region.
In the Gaza Strip, where more than 72,000 lives have been lost since October 7, 2023, the local population is struggling with vital issues such as hunger, thirst, shelter, and access to medical aid, while recent developments have increased hopes.
Although the situation in the region remains dire, calls for a permanent ceasefire are gaining strength. AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik emphasized the importance of a diplomatic solution in a statement on his social media account.
Reacting to the Israeli Ambassador, who was previously claimed to have supported the "Greater Israel" project, Çelik stated that Israel's claim to any Arab land, including Palestine, is unacceptable. He expressed that such approaches are incompatible with the most fundamental legal principles and human values, calling on the international community to take responsibility for lasting peace.
"SPATIAL GENOCIDE"
Çelik also included the following statements in his remarks:
Israel has no rights or sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories or other occupied Arab lands.
Any threat to the sovereignty of friendly and brotherly Arab states by Israel is illegitimate.
Israel's attempts to annex the West Bank or separate the Gaza Strip are acts of 'spatial genocide.'
The expansion of settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories is an outright aggression.
"WE REJECT IT ROOT AND BRANCH"
The support of the U.S. Ambassador to Israel for the Netanyahu government's killing of children in Gaza is inhumane and a horrific approach.
This Ambassador's defense of the 'Greater Israel' project, which aims to seize the lands of some Arab states with a theo-political approach, is against the most fundamental legal principles and human values.
The attempt to replace international law with theological-fanatic claims will have very grave consequences throughout the region.
We fundamentally reject and strongly condemn this approach that threatens brotherly states by advocating for Israel's dominance in the Middle East.
"DEFENDING THE KILLING OF CHILDREN IS MURDER"
Our President has been warning the world for years against the insidious plans of this aggressive and occupying mentality by repeatedly asking from the podium of the United Nations, 'Where are the borders of Israel?'
Every development that occurs has revealed how justified our President's warnings from the UN podium have been over the years.
Defending the killing of children is murder and genocide.
"IT IS AN ATTACK ON HUMAN VALUES"
Occupying the homes and lands of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank is part of a policy of genocide.
These are attacks on all human values. We know that the struggle against this mentality is a struggle for humanity.
Resisting this barbarism is the first item of what must be done both humanely and politically.
We will continue to defend a sovereign and united Palestinian State with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the 1967 borders, and to fight against genocidal enemies of humanity.
