One of the most prominent figures of internal opposition within the CHP, Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır, who has expressed his support for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on every occasion, has been referred to the disciplinary committee with a request for his expulsion.
The expulsion of CHP Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır from the party has been requested. Çakır, who was referred to the disciplinary committee with a request for expulsion, had been in the news due to his criticisms of the party management.
CHP SPOKESPERSON ANNOUNCED
Republican People's Party (CHP) Spokesperson Zeynel Emre announced that the expulsion of Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır, who reacted to CHP deputies during a commission meeting in the Parliament regarding a news report about him, has been requested and will be voted on at the Party Assembly (PM) meeting. Speaking at a press conference at the party's headquarters, Emre stated regarding Çakır's situation, "Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır has been referred to the PM with the thought of a request for expulsion by the MYK. The PM will decide."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
CHP Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır had shouted at his party's deputies during a commission meeting in the Parliament, saying, "Halk TV is speaking against me, calling me 'a person with a criminal record.' I protest the CHP deputies who do not raise their voices against this." Later, Çakır held a press conference and stated that Halk TV's owner Cafer Mahiroğlu should "come to Turkey and account for justice."
HE HAD POINTED TO ALİ MAHİR BAŞARIR
Çakır indicated that such news was made about him because he supported the post of former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu calling for purification at the CHP Headquarters, and he pointed to CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, who is also a Mersin Deputy, without naming him. Çakır said, "He accused me by calling me a person with a criminal record. As someone who has received votes in the nomadic villages that CHP could not get, I do not deserve this. I know very well where this discomfort originates. I am aware that some friends see me as a rival and obstacle. You cannot expel me; you will expel the hundreds of thousands in Mersin, and we will all see this together. This threat and sending news in this way will not lead to anything."
"WE LIE DOWN IN SILIVRI, WE RISE IN SILIVRI"
Çakır, who rebelled against the CHP's entry into a Silivri-centered area of influence, said, "Instead of seeking solutions to the country's problems, we lie down in Silivri, we rise in Silivri! Come on, I mean, there cannot be a party of thieves. Yakup Öner lives in a house worth 5 million dollars with a salary of 70 thousand lira and drives a car worth 30 million. There is no sound."
