In a drug operation targeting celebrities, a detention order has been issued for 8 individuals, including Habertürk's Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Lawyer Serkan Toker, who is alleged to be among the mentioned individuals, made a statement. Toker said, "All of these news reports are false. I am not in custody. I am at home."
The drug investigation involving celebrities is growing. Following the detention and release of famous broadcasters Ela Rumeysa Cebeci, Hande Sarıoğlu, and Meltem Acet, now Habertürk's Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy has been detained.

The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which has shaken the world of entertainment, art, and media, has expanded. The investigation teams have recently reached the name of Habertürk's Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Teams affiliated with the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command have detained Mehmet Akif Ersoy.

In a statement regarding the matter from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the following was stated: "As part of the investigation conducted by our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention decision has been issued for 8 suspects for the crimes of Purchasing, Accepting, or Possessing Drugs or Stimulants, or Using Drugs or Stimulants, and Providing Place and Opportunity for Use. As per our instruction, Mehmet Akif Ersoy and 3 suspects have been detained by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, and the detention procedures for the other suspects are ongoing."
ANOTHER NAME FROM HABERTÜRK DETAINED
It has been learned that another name from Habertürk is involved in the investigation. The channel's foreign news editor Elif Kılınç has also been detained.
STATEMENT FROM SERKAN TOPER, WHO IS CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN DETAINED
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Lawyer Serkan Toper, who was the MHP's candidate for the Beşiktaş Municipality Mayor in the last local elections, was also detained in the operation.
