Manisa City Hospital announced that Mayor Durbay was admitted to advanced intensive care following a sudden deterioration in her kidney and liver functions.
DOCTOR'S STATEMENT
In a written statement made by the Chief Physician of Manisa City Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Saka, it was noted that Durbay was hospitalized on December 1, Monday, due to deteriorations in her blood values and nutritional status.
The statement included the following remarks:
"Our Mayor Gülşah Durbay was admitted to the Internal Medicine Department on December 1 as part of the ongoing treatment for colon cancer. On December 2, Tuesday, following the detected deteriorations in kidney and liver function tests, it was decided that our patient's treatment and monitoring would continue in the Intensive Care Unit. All necessary medical interventions are being applied.
MULTIPLE ORGAN FAILURE DIAGNOSIS
Our patient's current treatment is continuing under intensive care conditions with the diagnosis of multiple organ failure, using advanced medical methods. Her respiratory condition is stable and does not require device support."
The hospital management announced that new developments regarding the treatment process would be shared with the public.
