Hasan Vatan, founder and Chairman of the Board of Vatan Bilgisayar, who was detained as part of a large-scale drug operation targeting celebrities, was arrested and sent to prison by the duty magistrate.
In the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities, 9 people including Vatan Bilgisayar owner Hasan Vatan were arrested, while 16 people including Beren Saat and Kenan Doğulu were released under judicial control.

WHO IS HASAN VATAN, HOW OLD IS HE AND WHERE IS HE FROM?
One of the first names that come to mind when discussing technology retail in Turkey, Hasan Vatan's career and life story are as follows: Born in 1959, Hasan Vatan is 67 years old as of 2026. His late father Osman Nuri Vatan is originally from the Arhavi district of Artvin. Due to family business, the Vatan family also lived in Ardahan for many years, later expanding their business.
Starting his career in his father's auto spare parts shop, Hasan Vatan entered the sector in 1983 by opening one of Turkey's first computer stores in Elmadağ. He became known as the person who "brought technology to the street" and introduced computers to the public by displaying them in shop windows for the first time. Through his visionary strategies, he turned Vatan Bilgisayar into one of Turkey's largest domestic technology and electronics retail chains and served as its chairman of the board.
