A 25-year-old young man who had a dispute with his mother in Antalya first broke the household items with a machete and then set the house on fire. A fire broke out around 00:30 on the top floor of a three-story building in the Central Neighborhood of Serik district in Antalya. Upon noticing the smoke, neighbors alerted the authorities, and fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire, which was extinguished by the fire department, caused damage to the kitchen area of the house.

It was learned that Samet Ö. (25), who lived in the house, had an argument with his mother, and after she left the house, he first damaged the belongings with a cleaver and then started a fire in the kitchen. Samet Ö. was taken into custody by the police.

Neighborhood resident Ebubekir Burunsuz stated that Samet Ö. was arguing with his mother, and then such an incident occurred. Burunsuz explained that after Samet Ö.'s mother left the house, he broke the household items, saying, "When his mother left, Samet Ö. started breaking the items in the house, saying 'Will I be left alone?' Later, when he couldn't contain his anger, he set the house on fire. We saw smoke coming from the house and called the fire department."
