In the murder case of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır, relatives İ.K. and Ş.K. were detained on the grounds that they changed the course of the investigation with false tips. While the procedures of Hediye Güran, who was previously detained in connection with the incident, are ongoing, the details of the investigation are gradually emerging.

ASTONISHING DETAILS IN THE REPORTS

The statements taken during the investigation, the reports made, revealed surprising results. In the investigations, it was revealed that 50 false tips were made to divert the attention of the security forces from Narin towards the Eğertutmaz stream. Not only those who made false tips were involved in this incident. Some deleted house searches from WhatsApp conversations, while others hid materials that could be evidence. One of these was Narin's cousin Muhammed Kaya (23).

It was revealed that Muhammed Kaya, who was arrested on charges of "protecting the guilty, destroying evidence", had hidden the slippers that Narin found on the road the next day instead of giving them to the gendarmerie while Narin was being searched. The detailed statement of Kaya, who did not give the slippers that could belong to Narin to the gendarmerie officials, also came to light.

DISTRIBUTING INVITATIONS ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT

According to the news in Habertürk; Muhammed Kaya explained what he did on the day of the incident as follows: "I had given a statement to the police regarding this incident. My statement is true, the signature underneath belongs to me and I repeat it exactly. I woke up around 08:30 on the day of the incident. I had slept at Devran Güran's house. After waking up here, we went to Erhan Güran's house. We prepared to distribute the invitations here. Devran Güran and I went to nearby villages by car to distribute the invitations. Then we picked up Uğurcan and went to nearby villages again. We didn't take him at first because Uğurcan was asleep. Then we went to nearby villages again after he woke up, taking him with us. Finally, we came to the village after distributing the cards in Çarıklı around 14:30. Then Barış came to the village and we left the village around 14:30-15:00 to go to Derik."

"I MET SALİM GÜRAN IN THE VILLAGE"

Explaining what he did on the day of the incident, Muhammet Kaya was asked by the prosecutor, "Do you know Nevzat Bahtiyar?" Kaya answered this question as follows: "I know him because he is our fellow villager. I have been living outside the city for about 3 years. Therefore, I have no information. I came here for Uğurcan's wedding as well."

WHY DID YOU HIDE NARIN'S SLIPPERS?

The Public Prosecutor's Office, which is continuing the investigation, asked the following question about the action that led to his arrest: Tell us about the information you have about the slippers you found the day after Narin went missing. Where did you find the slippers and why did you hide the fact that you found them?

Kaya answered this question as follows: "I saw the slippers on the Çarıklı road while I was driving with my car to buy milk for my nephews. Thinking that the slippers belonged to the gypsies, I didn't look at them. Then, on the way back, the same slippers were in the middle of the road again. The slippers were 2.5 km away from the village. I picked up the slippers and put them in the car. The car was brown and had a license plate number 21. When I arrived in the village, there was chaos and the villagers were gathered in a room with gendarmerie officers. I forgot to mention the slippers in this chaos."

"I AM INNOCENT"

In his continued statement, Kaya described how Osman found the slippers and handed them over to the gendarmerie with the following details: "Osman and I went to Kadolin to buy cigarettes. Then Uğurcan Güran called me and asked where I was. I told him our location and Uğurcan came and we sat down in a nearby place and had tea. While we were having tea, Osman said he would return to the village and took the car from me. When Osman opened the car door, he saw the slippers and asked me where I got them. I told him I found them on the road, and Osman handed these slippers to the officials. These are my statements regarding the incident. I am innocent. I have nothing else to add."

The slipper, which was handed over to the gendarmerie by Osman, was found not to belong to Narin after the examination. After this statement, Muhammed Kaya was arrested on charges of "protecting the guilty, destroying evidence".
