Nazlı D., who lives in Mardin, wanted to break up with her boyfriend B.A. in May. Unable to accept the breakup, B.A. assaulted Nazlı D. on July 22 when he encountered her at a shopping mall. B.A., who was detained after Nazlı D. filed a complaint and obtained a medical report, was released after giving his statement.

STARTED TO THREATEN TO WITHDRAW HER COMPLAINT

According to the allegation, B.A. began to threaten Nazlı and her sister Mehtap D. to withdraw her complaint. On November 25, while leaving a meeting with her sister's lawyer Gurbet Bilbay, Mehtap D. was attacked by B.A.'s brother, F.A. F.A., who was reported by Mehtap D., was also detained and released after giving his statement. The moment of the attack was captured on a mobile phone camera.

"WE HAVE NO PERSONAL SAFETY"

Speaking to DHA, Mehtap D. stated that they have no personal safety, saying, "For 6 months, my sister and I have been threatened by an individual. A few months ago, my sister was assaulted in the middle of a shopping mall. The person threatens me and my sister every time he sees us. We have complaints about this. We have medical reports of the assault, but absolutely nothing is being done. I went to meet with my lawyer. This person's brother threatened me by getting into my vehicle and tried to assault me. In the car, he said, 'This time we are warning you, next time something worse will happen to you.' Later, he shared on social media, 'Your birds will fly in the air, be careful when you go outside. Look to your right and left.' We definitely have no personal safety. We have initiated legal proceedings for 6 months, but no indictment has been written, and no court process has started. We are constantly being threatened to withdraw our complaint. Will our voices be heard only when we are dead? My sister has no personal safety. This person has no problem with me, yet he threatens me," she said.

"WILL YOU HEAR THEIR VOICES ONLY AFTER THEY ARE DEAD?"

Lawyer Gurbet Bilbay, who stated that she has also been threatened, said, "There is a significant issue we have been dealing with for 6 months. Look, the suspect assaults my client in the middle of the shopping mall, and nothing can be done. It is not enough; he threatens the lawyer and the family and is not re-arrested. Subsequently, he assaults her in the car, and again he is not re-arrested. Will these people only be arrested after they are dead?" she said.

Meanwhile, new footage has emerged of the moments when B.A. assaulted Nazlı D. at the shopping mall on July 22. In the footage, B.A. is seen approaching Nazlı D., who is sitting in a café, first threatening her, and then quickly approaching from behind and slapping her after leaving the café.
