Four suspects who entered the house of the stepbrother for gold theft in Gaziantep attempted to strangle 55-year-old Emine Yusuf and stabbed her 15-year-old daughter. Yusuf, who was taken to the hospital, died due to a heart attack she suffered during the night. The stepbrother and three others with him were detained in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred in a house located on Attaroğlu Street in the Ünaldı neighborhood of the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep. According to allegations, a foreign national named Muhammed Vekil (35) and three accomplices entered the house of his stepsister Emine Yusuf (55) during the day to steal her gold. Muhammed Vekil and his accomplices attacked Emine Yusuf and her daughter Zeynep Vekil (15) who were in the house, attempting to steal the gold.

The mother and daughter, who resisted the theft, were attacked by the assailants. During the attack, Muhammed Vekil attempted to strangle his stepsister Emine Yusuf, while Zeynep Vekil was stabbed in the leg and hip. Later, as the assailants fled, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
Upon arrival, the police teams took extensive security measures in the area, while the medical teams provided first aid to Emine Yusuf, who was struggling to breathe after being choked, and Zeynep Vekil, who had been stabbed in the leg and hip, before transferring them to Abdulkadir Yüksel State Hospital.
DIED OF A HEART ATTACK IN THE HOSPITAL
Emine Yusuf, whose treatment began at the hospital, passed away due to a heart attack she suffered during the night, while it was reported that her daughter was not in life-threatening condition. The body of Emine Yusuf was handed over to her relatives for burial after the completion of procedures at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institution.
4 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Following the incident, the teams of the Public Order Branch conducted a large-scale operation and quickly captured and detained the assailant stepsister Muhammed Vekil along with his three accomplices. It was learned that the detained suspects were undergoing processing at the police station.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
