Tuğçe Dağdeviren Arbaz, who attempted to abduct her friend's newborn baby by putting it in a bag, has been arrested in Denizli. After confessing to her crime, Arbaz's relatives shouted at her outside the courthouse, saying, "They framed you, we will save you."
An astonishing incident occurred in the Pamukkale district of Denizli. Tuğçe Dağdeviren Arbaz (29), a married woman and mother of one, was arrested after attempting to sneak out of the hospital with her friend’s newborn baby girl wrapped in a blanket and placed in a bag.
CAUGHT IN THE HOSPITAL CORRIDOR
Tuğçe D.A., who visited her friend Figen Büyükdağ (29) in the Neonatal Unit of Pamukkale University Hospital, took the baby out of the room under the pretext of "taking her for a walk." She then wrapped the baby in a blanket, placed her in a bag, and tried to leave the hospital.
However, a citizen in the corridor noticed the baby inside the bag and reported the situation to the security personnel. Private security teams caught Tuğçe D.A. as she was heading towards the exit. While the baby was handed over to her family, the suspect was taken into custody.
"I HAD A MISCARRIAGE, I COULDN'T TELL MY HUSBAND"
In her initial statement, the suspect said, "I had told my husband that I was pregnant. However, I had a miscarriage and kept it a secret from him. My friend had also said she couldn't take care of her baby. After the birth, I went to her and took the baby. I was caught by security while trying to leave the hospital."
HER FAMILY COULDN'T BELIEVE HER CONFESSION
After her procedures at the police station, Tuğçe Dağdeviren Arbaz was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court. Arbaz's relatives burst into tears in front of the courthouse, shouting, "We will save you, we know you were framed. You wouldn't do this."
THE BABY'S FATHER: SHE TRIED TO TAKE HIS LIFE
The father of the newborn baby, Kamil B., stated in a statement regarding the incident that he had known the suspect for about 15 years, saying, "We can't comprehend how a woman with a 6-year-old child could do such a thing. She put our baby in a bag; she could have died; it was an attempt on her life."
Kamil B. mentioned that the suspect had hidden her miscarriage from her family and that her father was unaware of the incident. Father Kamil B. said, "She called us and asked us to withdraw our complaint. When I explained the truth, she was shocked. I did not withdraw my complaint; I want her to face the consequences."
