ROADS ARE BLOCKED



Officials stated that some roads have been blocked due to landslides caused by the earthquake, but they announced that closed roads would be reopened to ensure access to hard-to-reach areas.



SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE



Officials announced that the search and rescue teams sent to the region after the earthquake are continuing their work in the earthquake-affected areas of Kunar, where hundreds of people are trapped under the rubble. They noted that teams are having difficulty reaching some villages due to mountainous terrain and bad weather conditions, and that the injured rescued from the rubble are being transported to hospitals by helicopters as part of the search and rescue efforts involving the public.



In response to the Afghan government's call for international aid, some countries, including India, Switzerland, China, and the United Kingdom, announced that they would send assistance to the region.
