The cause of death of Jessika Chagnon Gailloux, who passed away after undergoing abdominal and breast lift surgery in Antalya, has not yet been determined. Investigations related to the incident are ongoing.
A Canadian citizen, Jessika Chagnon Gailloux (35), who underwent an abdominal and breast lift operation at a private hospital in Antalya, subsequently lost her life. The cause of Gailloux's death has not yet been clarified, and an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident. The event occurred yesterday around 4:00 PM at a private hospital located on Halide Edip Street in the Kanal neighborhood of the Kepez district. Jessika Chagnon Gailloux arrived in Antalya from her country on March 2 for the abdominal and breast lift operation. Gailloux was taken into surgery at the private hospital yesterday.
POLICE INVESTIGATED THE HOSPITAL AT THE CRIME SCENE
It was stated that the operation performed by the doctors was completed as planned and that no complications occurred during the surgery. It was recorded that Gailloux, who was taken to the ward, fell ill after a while and could not be saved despite all interventions. Upon notification of the situation, police teams were dispatched to the hospital. Teams from the Antalya Police Department's Public Order Branch Homicide Bureau conducted an investigation at the hospital, including a crime scene examination and a review by the prosecutor's office. During the checks by the crime scene investigation teams, it was learned that Gailloux had no cuts, stab wounds, or gunshot wounds on her body other than surgical stitch marks related to the operation.

The statement of Gailloux's friend, Stephanie Jobin, who came to Antalya with her, was also taken. It was learned that Jobin stated they came to Antalya together from Canada and that they used drugs together about 3 days before coming to Turkey. Jobin expressed that her friend did not have any known illnesses and stated that they came to Antalya for the purpose of surgery. To determine the exact cause of Jessika Chagnon Gailloux's death, her body was taken to the morgue of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy. An investigation and detailed work regarding the incident have been initiated.
