Citizens in the Döşemealtı district of Antalya reported to the police that they were defrauded after the jeweler, to whom they entrusted their gold and cash for investment, did not open his shop. A search has been initiated to capture the jeweler, who is estimated to have disappeared with approximately 50 million lira collected from the citizens.
Citizens delivered cash and jewelry to the jeweler B.A. located on Atatürk Street in the Döşemealtı district of Antalya under the name 'profit share'.
POLICE CALLED AFTER SEEING THE SIGN ON THE DOOR
This morning, citizens who went to the jeweler tried to reach B.A. when they saw the sign "We are closed due to a funeral" at the workplace. Citizens who could not reach the business owner filed a complaint, claiming they had been defrauded. Following the complaint, a police team was dispatched to the address.
COLLECTED 50 MILLION LIRA
The door of the workplace was opened with the help of a locksmith with permission from the Public Prosecutor's Office. Police teams conducted a search at the workplace. No jewelry was found during the inspection. It is estimated that the jeweler collected around 50 million lira in cash and jewelry from citizens under the name 'profit share'. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
