The trial of a 17-year-old boy who stabbed and killed his mother and father, and also injured his uncle, aunt, and grandfather in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, has begun. The suspect stated in court, "On the day of the incident, there was an argument with my parents over a gold issue. A few hours after the incident, I first stabbed my mother and then my father." The court postponed the hearing to September 18.
On November 11, 2024, in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, 17-year-old A.Ç., who is alleged to have a psychological disorder, stabbed his mother N.Ç. and father M.Ç. at their home in Fatih Neighborhood, and then stabbed his uncle G.Ç., aunt F.Ç., and grandfather C.Ç., who lived in the same apartment. A.Ç.'s mother died at the scene, while his father passed away in the hospital. The young man has begun to be tried at the Tekirdağ 3rd Heavy Penal Court.
HE SAID "I REGRET" During the hearing, the defendant A.Ç. (17), who is being tried in custody for "premeditated murder of a relative" and "premeditated murder of a close relative," was connected via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS). The defendant's uncle G.Ç., aunt F.Ç., and grandfather C.Ç., as well as the party's lawyer, were also present at the hearing. The defendant stated in his defense that he regretted what had happened.
His mother N.Ç. "I STABBED THEM A FEW HOURS LATER AFTER A DISPUTE OVER GOLD" A.Ç. stated that there were problems between them because he sold his family's gold without their permission, saying, "On the day of the incident, there was an argument with my parents over the gold issue. A few hours after the incident, I stabbed my mother first and then my father. After that, I stabbed my uncle, aunt, and grandfather in the apartment. I didn't want to stab them, but it happened in a moment of anger." he expressed.
"I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY FAMILY" The defendant, who claimed to have psychological issues and communicated this to his family, argued that his family did not help him in this regard. A.Ç. claimed that the searches he made on his computer regarding rat poison, knives, and guns were not related to his family, saying, "I was having problems with my family. After taking and selling their gold, we had arguments from time to time. I didn't want things to come to this point. I had no problems with my other relatives." he stated.
His father M.Ç. "MY BROTHER WAS COVERED IN BLOOD" The defendant's uncle G.Ç. recounted that after hearing the noises on the day of the incident, they went up to the apartment where his brother was, but did not enter. G.Ç. stated that after taking the spare key to his brother's house and entering, he saw his nephew A.Ç. struggling with his brother, saying, "My brother was covered in blood. After opening the door, A.Ç. stabbed me with a knife and started chasing my wife. After that, I lost consciousness. I am filing a complaint against him." he said.
THE HEARING WAS ADJOURNED Aunt F.Ç. and grandfather C.Ç. also stated that A.Ç. had stabbed them and that they were filing a complaint against him.
The court panel decided to hear the defendant's grandmother R.K. as a witness at the next hearing and adjourned the hearing to September 18.
