A drunk driver fell asleep at the wheel in Kayseri. Despite driving onto the sidewalk, the driver continued to sleep until citizens woke him up. The driver, who had a blood alcohol level of 1.74 promille, was fined 9,267 TL and had his driver's license confiscated for a period of 6 months.
An accident occurred on Erkilet Boulevard in the Ertuğrulgazi neighborhood of the Melikgazi district of Kayseri; B.I., driving the car with license plate 38 ALM 385, fell asleep at the wheel and drove onto the sidewalk. After driving onto the sidewalk, B.I. continued to sleep, and citizens who saw him went to help and woke him up.
A FINE WAS IMPOSED, DRIVER'S LICENSE CONFISCATED
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. While the police took security measures on the road, B.I. refused the medical team's request for treatment. During the checks conducted by the police, it was determined that B.I. had a blood alcohol level of 1.74 promille. A fine of 9,267 TL was imposed on B.I. for the offense of driving under the influence, and his driver's license was confiscated for 6 months.

Meanwhile, legal proceedings were initiated against B.I. for having an alcohol level above 1 promille, and he was taken to the police station for his statement to be taken.
