If you're looking for dirt, look elsewhere."
CHP Erzincan Member of Parliament Mustafa Sarıgül continues to make headlines with his statements regarding Turkish football. After the interrupted match between Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor, Sarıgül harshly criticized the visiting team and this time he also criticized Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho for his remarks about Turkish football.
"IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR DIRTY, LOOK ELSEWHERE"
Sharing a video on his social media account, Sarıgül stated, "Dear Mourinho, focus on your football on the field. No one in Turkey can call our youth dirty. Our youth fought in Çanakkale, Kocatepe, and Anafartalar and established this beautiful paradise homeland. Our youth are not dirty; they are pure. If you're looking for dirty, look elsewhere."
WHAT DID MOURINHO SAY?
Recently, Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho, who attended the "Bright Future Awards" ceremony organized by the 1907 ÜNİFEB Association for the year 2024 and was awarded the project of the year for the "Our Dreams are One" project, stated about Turkish football, "When I go to a new country, I try to embrace and learn about that country. The foundation of the country is children. I was very happy to be part of this project. The tragedy experienced in this country has truly affected every person in the country. When it comes to children, it touches everyone's heart more deeply. I love to understand how to appreciate the country I visit and its culture. I fight against what I do not like. I do not want children growing up in this country to grow up with a dirty sport. The only way to fight this is to compete fairly and cleanly."
HE ALSO CRITICIZED A.DEMİRSPOR'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE FIELD
CHP Erzincan Member of Parliament Mustafa Sarıgül shared a video on his social media account after the interrupted match between Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor, which was halted due to the visiting team's withdrawal in the 23rd week of the Trendyol Super League, targeting the Adana representative. Sarıgül said, "I haven't seen anything like this in recent years. I have been in football for years. I have been an administrator. Adana Demirspor, if it wasn't a penalty, why did you withdraw at that moment and where did you get the order to withdraw 20 minutes later? The reasons for Adana Demirspor's withdrawal from the field should be investigated in detail."
