In 1996, Kenan K., who was officially married to someone else in Ayvacık District of Samsun, kidnapped Melek Baştürk and performed a religious marriage ceremony. The couple divorced in 2021 due to their inability to get along. After a while, Baştürk performed a religious marriage ceremony with N.T., whom she met. Melek Baştürk wanted to move in with N.T. When Kenan K. learned about this, he argued with Baştürk. Melek Baştürk went to the police on July 19, 2023, claiming that she was subjected to verbal violence and requested a restraining order. "THIS MAN WILL TRICK ME"On July 27, Melek Baştürk went to the funeral of Celal K., Kenan K.'s deceased stepbrother, with her daughter Ö.A. (21). Melek Baştürk sent a message to N.T., whom she was religiously married to, saying, "There is another plan. Kenan K. called a hundred times, this man will trick me." N.T. advised Baştürk not to leave her daughter Ö.A.'s side. 5 BULLETS IN THE KITCHEN FOR HER MOTHERV.S.K., the child of Baştürk and Kenan K., arrived at the funeral home where her mother was with a car. V.S.K. argued with her mother and shot her with a gun in the kitchen of the funeral home, killing her with 5 bullets. V.S.K. went to the gendarmerie on the same day and surrendered. Kenan K., who went to the police station, was detained by the gendarmerie. V.S.K. was arrested and his father was released under judicial control after being taken to the court. INDICTMENT PREPAREDThe investigation conducted by Çarşamba Public Prosecutor's Office was completed and an indictment was prepared. In the indictment, V.S.K. was charged with "aggravated life imprisonment for deliberate killing against a woman" and his father Kenan K. and his business partner H.A.U. (59), who took him to the hospital when he felt unwell, were charged with "incitement" and "aggravated life imprisonment for deliberate killing against a woman". The indictment was accepted by Çarşamba Heavy Penal Court. "IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT IT IS AIMED AT CLEARING HIMSELF OF THE CRIME"The indictment stated that "it is evaluated that V.S.K. reached the motivation to kill his mother as a result of his father's incitement, it is in line with the normal course of life that Celal K.'s funeral was buried, Kenan K. was taken away from Ö.A.'s mother by claiming that he felt unwell, it is understood that Kenan K. both attracted his daughter Ö.A. to himself and tried to clear himself of the crime by claiming that he felt unwell in the face of the correspondence between N.T. and Melek, and that V.S.K. acted in accordance with the plan and carried out his action with determination, in this way, it is evaluated that the crime was committed deliberately, and sufficient evidence was obtained to create sufficient suspicion that V.S.K. committed the crime". HE DID NOT ACCEPT HIS STATEMENT AT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICEIn her statement to the prosecutor's office, Ö.A., the daughter of Kenan K. and Melek Baştürk, stated that "my mother stated that my father was trying to take her home by force and that she thought my father would kill her, so she applied and requested a restraining order. While waiting in front of the shop, V.S.K. told me, 'My father told me to shoot my mother in the head, if I had found her in a side street, I would have shot her.' Then we dispersed." However, in her statement during the trial, she said, "I do not accept the statements I made at the prosecutor's office. They were given under the pressure and influence of N.T." "WE ARE GOING TO MY FATHER'S"The first hearing of the trial was held. The imprisoned defendant V.S.K., who made a defense during the trial, said, "I entered my mother's room, she was talking on the phone with someone. I thought she was talking to N.T. and said, 'Are you still talking to that man?' and asked for her phone. She told me, 'I can talk to whoever I want, get lost, why should I ask you?' I held her arm and said, 'We are going to my father's at the hospital,' and she pushed me away. Meanwhile, my mother took out a gun from her bag and pointed it at me. I tried to take it from her hand, there was a struggle. The gun was in my hand, but I don't know what happened after that. I had a nervous breakdown when I saw my mother shot in the chair. I ran to the mosque without knowing what I was doing. Y.U. saw me there and informed my father's friend. They took me from where I was and took me to the gendarmerie. No one helped me, no one incited me. The other defendants have no connection to the incident." "IT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION FOR ME TO HAVE MY MOTHER KILLED"Kenan K., the defendant who was released pending trial, said during the trial, "After we went to the hospital and came back, I saw a crowd. The gendarmerie told me that my wife was shot, and that's how I learned about the incident. I don't know how my son took my car. I didn't know that there was a romantic relationship between my wife and N.T. until the incident happened. No one told me about such an incident. When my wife obtained a restraining order against me, I called N.T. I told him that my wife had problems when she came from Izmir. When I asked if she was meeting with him or someone else, he said, 'You are my elder brother, she is my sister,' and swore on his children. I am a wealthy person. It is out of the question for me to have my mother killed in order to claim some cars or anything else. I request my acquittal." The court adjourned the trial after listening to the witnesses and defendants.
