Notes written by prison officer Abdulkadir Kocaoğlu, who killed his ex-wife Ayten Çağıran by cutting her throat in Antalya, have emerged regarding how he planned the murder. On June 22, in the Akdeniz Boulevard of the Yeşilbayır neighborhood in the Döşemealtı district, Abdulkadir Kocaoğlu, who worked as a prison officer in Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar, came to Antalya and started to follow his ex-wife Ayten Çağıran. When Kocaoğlu saw that Çağıran was heading towards a gas station, he approached her to talk. During this time, a dispute broke out between Kocaoğlu and Ayten Çağıran. During the argument, Kocaoğlu cut Çağıran's throat with a knife he was carrying and then stabbed her multiple times. Abdulkadir Kocaoğlu waited by Ayten Çağıran's side until the teams arrived. It was determined that Çağıran had her throat cut and had more than 10 stab wounds on her body. Abdulkadir Kocaoğlu, who was found to have come to Antalya from Afyonkarahisar on June 19, started to follow his ex-wife and committed the murder, was arrested after the incident. HE SAID HE DID NOT REMEMBER HOW HE KILLED HERAbdulkadir Kocaoğlu, who is facing aggravated life imprisonment for the charge of "premeditated murder of his ex-wife," appeared before the Antalya 1st Heavy Penal Court for the second time. In response to the president of the court's question about how he carried out the act, Kocaoğlu said, "I do not remember how it happened. I do not accept the statements against me. I am repeating what my lawyers said." Responding to previous witness statements claiming he hit his wife on the head with a baton, Kocaoğlu stated, "We had an argument with Ayten. There was a scuffle between us. During that time, she hit her head on the boiler. I learned that our neighbor took Ayten to the hospital. I did not hit her on the head with a baton. I also went to the hospital to see her." "THE ALLEGATIONS ARE COMPLETELY FALSE"Responding to allegations that he did not take care of his children, the defendant said, "My child is studying at university, I sent him pocket money. My account movements should be examined. The claims of the complainants are completely false." Regarding his daughter's allegations against him, he stated, "While my daughter was living in Konya, she said that I cheated on my wife. But they do not say who I cheated with. I commented on a photo of a model on Instagram. My wife and daughter considered that cheating." "I TALK TO HER IN A DESOLATE PLACE AND CARRY OUT THE EXECUTION"After the incident, in a note found in the defendant's wallet, where he wrote that he would kill his ex-wife, it was stated, "I am going to sleep after leaving at night. I leave the phone to Seydi. Seydi occasionally sends messages. I am going by motorcycle. I am waiting for the end of the work in the evening. After work, I follow her, when she enters the house, I take her, I talk to her in a desolate place, and I carry out the execution." "I DIVORCED MY WIFE FOR YOU"In a letter included in the case file, which was allegedly written by the defendant to the woman he is accused of cheating on his wife with, he stated, "You promised to marry me. I divorced my wife for you. I lost my wife, my children, and my property. You consumed a fortune of mine. In our last conversation, you told me, 'I was with you to eat your money.' I said, 'I will not let this go.' Let this be a lesson for you for the rest of your life. You hurt me, may you also suffer." "I KNOCK HER OUT WHEN SHE COMES AND TAKE OUT HER EYES"In a letter where Abdulkadir Kocaoğlu planned a murder against the same woman and wrote it point by point, he stated, "I leave the phone to Seydi at night. I go by motorcycle. I follow her after work. I wait at the entrance of the apartment, when she comes, I knock her out and take out her eyes. I return with Mehmet's car. The motorcycle stays there. I am waiting for their calls. When they call, I go with Neşat's car." On the other hand, in the autopsy report prepared for Ayten Çağıran, it was noted that 5 of the stab wounds were fatal and 11 stab wounds were detected. The court panel decided to continue the defendant's detention and adjourned the hearing.
