In Ümraniye, 27-year-old Ayşe A. stabbed and killed her father Atalay A. (60), whom she claimed was trying to attack her mother. The suspect, who was caught by the police, stated, "He came home drunk and approached my mother with a knife; I intervened. When the knife fell to the ground, I picked it up. The incident occurred during our struggle." The suspect was arrested and sent to prison. The incident took place in Ümraniye, Dumlupınar Neighborhood, on Saturday, October 26, around 7:30 PM, when police teams, responding to a tip-off, found 60-year-old Atalay A. injured from a stab wound. He was immediately taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all efforts.

CONFESSED TO THE CRIME

Police teams detained 27-year-old Ayşe A., who committed the act. In her statement at the police station, Ayşe A. said, "He was constantly coming home drunk. He was violent towards me and my mother. On the day of the incident, he came home drunk again. He fought with my mother. When he approached her with the knife, I intervened. During the struggle, the knife fell to the ground. I picked up the knife. While he was trying to take the knife from my hand, it stabbed him." It was learned that the Ümraniye District Police Department teams detained the suspect Ayşe A. after completing the procedures. The suspect Ayşe A. was arrested and sent to prison.
