It has been revealed that a 19-year-old young man in Adana was stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. The murder suspect was caught on the balcony of the apartment on the lower floor while trying to escape during a police raid, and those moments were recorded on a mobile phone.
A 19-year-old named Murat İnanmaz, who was alleged to have harassed his ex-girlfriend in the Seyhan district of Adana, was stabbed to death by the young woman's new boyfriend during a fight. Three suspects related to the incident have been arrested.
CALLING THE EX-GIRLFRIEND SPARKED A DISPUTE
On December 12, in the Ova neighborhood of Seyhan, Murat İnanmaz (19) disturbed his ex-girlfriend Y.S. (19) by calling her on her mobile phone. Y.S. informed her new boyfriend A.B. (19) about the situation. Following this, A.B. told Y.S. that he wanted to meet Murat İnanmaz. Y.S. sent İnanmaz a location to call him over to talk. When İnanmaz arrived at the location, he realized that A.B. was waiting for him along with Y.S.
NEW BOYFRIEND STABBED AND FLED
The argument between the parties quickly escalated into a fight. During the fight, A.B. stabbed İnanmaz 10 times and fled the scene. The events were captured moment by moment by nearby security cameras. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. The medical teams determined that İnanmaz had died.
The Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Department examined 24 hours of camera footage and identified that S.Ç. (18) assisted the suspect A.B. in hiding.
MURDERER JUMPED FROM THE BALCONY TO THE LOWER FLOOR TO ESCAPE
The Homicide Bureau teams conducted an operation at the apartment where A.B. was hiding in the Gültepe neighborhood of Sarıçam district. Noticing the police, A.B. jumped from the balcony of the 5th-floor apartment to the balcony of the 4th-floor apartment to escape. This moment was also recorded on a mobile phone, and the suspect was caught red-handed in the apartment he jumped into. Along with A.B., his girlfriend Y.S. and friend S.Ç. were also taken into custody.
"I ATTACKED IN A MOMENT OF ANGER, I REGRET IT"
In his statement at the police station, suspect A.B. said, "I did not intend to kill, I wanted to talk. I attacked in a moment of anger, I regret it," while Y.S. stated in her testimony, "Murat was constantly calling me and bothering me. When my boyfriend learned about the situation, he wanted to talk. I called Murat, and a fight broke out."
After their procedures at the police station, three of the suspects were arrested by the court to which they were referred.
