In Şanlıurfa, a man named Ömer Kilimci shot and killed his girlfriend, whom he had broken into her home, and also injured his mother and siblings. Kilimci later committed suicide in his car. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
A brutal incident occurred in the rural Başaran neighborhood of the Viranşehir district in Şanlıurfa. According to allegations, a young man named Ömer Kilimci went to the house of his 17-year-old girlfriend Yaprak Türk, whom he wanted to marry but whose family did not allow, and started shouting, "Come outside."
HE KILLED HIS GIRLFRIEND, INJURED HER MOTHER AND SIBLINGS
Hearing the commotion, the young girl and her family came outside to try to calm Kilimci down. Kilimci opened fire on Yaprak Türk, her mother Şehka Türk (47), and her siblings Mehmet Emin (17) and Gülseren Türk (17). The injured were taken to Viranşehir State Hospital by ambulances after the first intervention by health teams at the scene. Despite all the doctors' efforts, Yaprak Türk, who was treated here, lost her life. The treatment of Türk's mother and two siblings in the hospital is ongoing.
HE COMMITTED SUICIDE IN HIS CAR
After the brutality, Kilimci fled the scene. He committed suicide by shooting himself with a rifle inside his car in the Hürriyet neighborhood. The bodies of Yaprak Türk and Ömer Kilimci were taken to the hospital morgue after the examinations. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
