In Eskişehir, Necmettin Tepecik (69) shot Hatice Usalan (57) with a shotgun at the bus stop where she was waiting to go to work, two years after she rejected his marriage proposal. Usalan, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved, and after the incident, Necmettin Tepecik, who fled, committed suicide in an empty field.

Necmettin Tepecik proposed to Hatice Usalan 2 years ago. However, Usalan rejected the proposal. Usalan obtained a restraining order against Necmettin Tepecik, who was said to constantly harass her, last year. Hatice Usalan changed her house and phone number, and got married to someone else 2 months ago.

ATTACKED WITH A SHOTGUN

Hatice Usalan, who lives in Şirintepe neighborhood, Tepebaşı district, left her house yesterday morning at around 06:00 to go to work. Hatice Usalan, who went to the bus stop near Dinçler Street, was attacked by Necmettin Tepecik with a shotgun, whom she rejected the marriage proposal 2 years ago. Usalan was taken to Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital after the first intervention of the health team that arrived upon the notification of the people around. However, despite the efforts of the doctors, Hatice Usalan could not be saved.

COMMITTED SUICIDE IN AN EMPTY FIELD

Eskişehir Police Department Security Branch teams started working to capture the fugitive Necmettin Tepecik. In the investigation, it was determined that Tepecik committed suicide with a shotgun in an empty field in Yeşiltepe neighborhood. After the autopsy procedures at the hospital, Hatice Usalan's body was sent to Hopa district of Artvin to be buried. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
