A man in Bursa had the funeral prayer (selah) of his religiously married spouse recited. Upon hearing her own name through the loudspeaker, the woman expressed her panic, saying, "When they said 'The funeral will be held in the afternoon,' I was afraid that something might happen to me until that time."
The woman who divorced her religiously married husband in Bursa was shocked when she heard her own funeral prayer being recited in the mosque. The husband who recited her funeral prayer recorded those moments with his mobile phone.
Tuğçe Emir and Zafer Kufacı got married 6 years ago with a religious ceremony. One and a half years ago, Tuğçe Emir, who claimed that she experienced severe incompatibility and that her husband used drugs, left her husband and went to her family with her child. Tuğçe Emir, who claimed that she constantly received death threats from her ex-husband Zafer Kufacı, experienced an even bigger shock yesterday.
RUSHED TO THE MOSQUE UPON HEARING HER NAME
She was shocked when she heard her own funeral prayer being recited from the mosque in her neighborhood at noon. Emir, who was scared and panicked, reached out to the mosque officials. The mosque officials made announcements for a while stating that the funeral prayer was a mistake. Tuğçe Emir, who panicked when her ex-husband recited her funeral prayer, went to the police station. Emir, who filed a complaint against her ex-husband, is waiting for help from the authorities.
HE ALSO RECORDED THOSE MOMENTS WITH A SMILE
Her ex-husband Zafer Kufacı handed a paper with Tuğçe Emir's information written on it to the mosque imam for the funeral prayer and waited at a nearby location. After the noon prayer, he recorded the funeral prayer given for his ex-wife with his mobile phone, smiling.
Tuğçe Emir said, "My ex-husband is already a drug addict. He has threatened me with death before. There is also a restraining order against him. He goes to the mosque imam and has the funeral prayer recited on my behalf, threatening me with death. He sends me death threat messages. Yesterday, he went to the mosque imam and had the funeral prayer recited. Then he recorded it and shared it with people. Of course, I was scared. How can a person recite their own funeral prayer? When it was said in the funeral prayer, 'The burial will take place in the afternoon,' I was afraid that something might happen to me until that time. Then I reported the situation to the police and filed a complaint. We were married for 6 years and we have a son. I left him because he is a drug addict."
Ali İlhan, a resident of the neighborhood, said, "He came to our imam friend here the night before. He said, 'I have a funeral prayer, can you give it?' When they saw that the information on the paper was incorrect, they didn't give the funeral prayer. He came again to have the funeral prayer given. When the mosque officials came again, he trusted them and had the funeral prayer given. Afterwards, it was understood that it was a mistake and announcements were made through the loudspeakers saying, 'It is a wrong funeral prayer.' The ex-husband of the woman who was said to be dead is coming. He wrote a script for himself and played the role of an extra."
While the police investigation into the incident continues, it was reported that the suspect Zafer Kufacı will be questioned.
