In Çankırı, 43-year-old S.Y. stabbed and killed his ex-wife, who worked as a cleaning staff at a hospital, as she was leaving home to go to work in the morning. S.Y. then attempted suicide with the same knife and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The bleeding wound of Turkey, femicide, has found its last address in Çankırı. In the Burçak Street of the Buğdaypazarı neighborhood, a brutal incident occurred in the morning hours. İlknur Kertlez (40), who worked as a cleaning staff at Çankırı State Hospital, encountered her ex-husband S.Y. (43) while leaving home for work.
HE STABBED HIS EX-WIFE TO DEATH
S.Y. stabbed Kertlez with a knife he had on him and fled the scene. Health and police teams were dispatched upon the notification of the surrounding people. Despite the initial intervention, Kertlez could not be saved at Çankırı State Hospital, where she was taken.
HE ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
After the incident, S.Y. attempted suicide with the same knife on the Yapraklı road. It was learned that S.Y.'s condition was serious after being taken to the hospital. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
