In the İnegöl district of Bursa, a discussion between a couple in the process of divorce led to Hakan B. strangling his wife Özlem B. with a belt and killing her. He then attempted suicide.
STRUCK WITH A BELT
The incident occurred around 07:30 in a three-story building located on Bülbüller Street in the Orhaniye neighborhood. According to allegations, Hakan B. began arguing with his wife Özlem B., who he was reportedly in the process of divorcing. In a fit of rage, the man strangled his wife with a belt. After killing his wife, the angry man went to the roof of the three-story apartment to commit suicide.
THE POLICE CHIEF ALSO ARRIVED
Police, 112 emergency services, and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire department set up an air mattress in front of the apartment. İnegöl Police Chief Okan Şen and police teams began efforts to persuade the man.
