"HE SAID, 'YOU ARE NOT MAKING ME DRINK, DIE'"

The bedridden woman, who had just recently become a bride in Adana, had to return to the house where she experienced her nightmare because she had no one. Dilek Gökgül, who stated that despite her husband promising not to drink alcohol, he continued to do so and that they had an argument that day because he was drinking, described her experiences with the following words:

"I was at the table, he was sitting on the couch. When I asked him why he was drinking, he went crazy. He shouted, 'From now on, I will drink every day, do you have any objections?' Then he threw me onto the table. I ran to another room, but he caught me and continued to assault me. Then he dragged me to the balcony and threw me down. I was holding onto the iron railing, but looking into my eyes, he said, 'You are not making me drink, die,' and then he opened my fingers. I don't remember what happened next; I fell from the 6th floor."

"I AM BEDRIDDEN IN THE HOUSE WHERE I EXPERIENCED MY NIGHTMARE"

The young woman continued her words, "He claims that I attempted suicide and that I jumped. Since he is a real estate agent, he has a wide network and hires false witnesses. Instead of supporting me, his family is making threats. They didn't even say 'get well soon.' Since I came here as a bride from Burdur, I don't know anyone in Adana, my family is far away, and I have no supporters. I am also experiencing financial difficulties. Moreover, I am bedridden in the house where I experienced this nightmare. Dozens of women have been thrown from balconies in this country, recorded as suicides. Thank God I didn't die, and I am fighting for my legal rights," she said.

"WE ARE FOLLOWING THE LEGAL PROCESS"

The woman's lawyer, Ozan Karabulut, also stated that the investigation against the suspect is ongoing. Karabulut argued that the claims that the suspect's client attempted suicide do not reflect the truth, saying:

"It is very clear that the lady was thrown from the 6th floor. The blood traces on the balcony and the railings show this. My client held onto the railings to survive at that moment. The suspect is trying to influence the case by finding false witnesses. My client is bedridden, cannot walk, and has serious health problems. We have complete confidence in justice and the judiciary. We are following the legal process."
