A person working at Samsun Provincial Directorate of National Education tried to strangle his spouse, who also works at the same institution, by laying her on the ground in front of the governorship building.
The incident took place in the garden of Samsun Governorship in İlkadım district during noon hours. A verbal argument first broke out between the couple, who are known to be in the process of divorce, at the Provincial Directorate of National Education located in Samsun Governorship building. Subsequently, the husband attacked the wife and laid her on the ground. The people present at the scene intervened first, as the man tried to strangle the woman by choking her.

The police officers on duty at the governorship quickly arrived at the scene as well. The police officers, who intervened in the incident that took place in front of the young couple's child, brought the situation under control. The husband and wife were taken to the police station to give their statements.
