The murderer Hakan K., who killed a woman in a hotel room and two people in a car on the same night in Büyükçekmece, was captured by the police days later in Avcılar. It was determined that the suspect misled the police by leaving his phone on in a different area. Additionally, it was found that Hakan K. told an employee at a market he entered after the murders, "Come, let's get to know each other. You don't know me now, but soon I will be famous."
In Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, the teams of the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch conducted an operation to capture the suspect who shot and killed Melisa Külekçi (27) in a hotel room on November 10, and Emre Güçlü (31) and Emrah Yılmaz (33) in a car on the side road of the D-100 highway, approximately 20 meters away.
SERIAL KILLER CAPTURED
After the incident, teams identified the address of the fleeing suspect Hakan K. (32) and captured him in Avcılar. During the search of the suspect, the barrel of the gun used in the incident was found disassembled.
The suspect Hakan K, brought to the Homicide Bureau, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures were completed.
LEFT HIS PHONE ON TO MISLEAD THE POLICE
The way suspect Hakan K escaped and hid after the murders was determined as a result of the police teams' work. The police teams found that the suspect checked into the hotel on November 9, and the next day his girlfriend Melisa Külekçi also arrived, and in the evening hours, the suspect left the hotel alone. It was then determined that the suspect also carried out an armed attack on two people in a car waiting on the road. During the searches in the hotel room, a quantity of drugs was seized from under a pillow.
SHOPPED AT A MARKET AFTER THE MURDERS
After the attack, it was learned that the drug-addicted suspect Hakan K went to his home in Avcılar, changed his bloody clothes, took his father's car, went to a gas station to buy lighter gas from the market section, and then also shopped at the market.
It was later determined that the suspect parked his vehicle somewhere on the D-100 highway, left his cell phone on to confuse the police at close range, and then took a taxi to hide in abandoned buildings in Avcılar.
TOLD THE MARKET EMPLOYEE "I WILL BE FAMOUS SOON"
Teams also interviewed the taxi driver and the market employee for information. It was learned that the suspect told the taxi driver, "You are carrying a famous person in your car." After shopping at the market, the suspect approached the employee, said "let's meet," shook hands, and stated, "You don't know me now, but soon I will be famous."
EXERCISED HIS RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT
The suspect Hakan K. exercised his right to remain silent in his statement at the police station. Additionally, it was learned that the police teams reviewed 1,240 hours of camera footage from 432 addresses to capture the suspect, who has 7 records for various crimes and is known to be a former car dealer. Furthermore, the suspect's departure from the hotel room and shopping was recorded by security cameras.
The footage shows Melisa Külekçi entering the hotel, the suspect Hakan K leaving the hotel alone, and shopping at the market while smiling and shaking hands with the employee.
WHAT HAPPENED?
A person approached the vehicle with license plate 39 ADZ 818, which was waiting on the side road of the D-100 highway, and opened fire on Emre Güçlü and Emrah Yılmaz inside the car before fleeing. Yılmaz died at the scene, while Güçlü succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
While the police teams were conducting an investigation at the scene, the hotel staff, located 20 meters from where the vehicle was found, reported that a woman's body was found in one of the rooms, and it was determined that the woman, who had been shot, was Melisa Külekçi.
The teams established that the suspect Hakan K had first killed the woman and then the two individuals in the vehicle.
