Birol Barış, who lived in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne, took his own life after making a post on his social media account that said 'The End.' He was found dead in his home by his friend M.A. Suspecting something was wrong, M.A. forced his way through a window and discovered Barış hanging from a stove pipe.
In the incident that occurred in the village of Kurttepe, located in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne; Birol Barış, who lives in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, asked his neighbor and friend M.A. for the key to his house in Kurttepe village to stay over the weekend. After receiving the key from M.A., Barış went to the village yesterday morning. M.A. also went to the village today in the evening and tried to reach Barış. After not receiving any response to his calls and not being able to open the door of the house, M.A. became suspicious and forced his way into the house, where he found Birol Barış hanging from the stove pipe with a belt.

Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams determined during their inspection that Barış had lost his life. It is considered that Barış committed suicide, and his body was sent to the Edirne Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy after the investigation. M.A. was taken to the gendarmerie command for his statement. It was learned that shortly before the incident, Birol Barış made a social media post with the caption 'The End'.
The investigation is ongoing.
