22-year-old entrepreneur Kaan Tınmaz from İzmir has turned the 'goalkeeper shortage' issue of futsal courts into a business. Having transferred from the amateur league to futsal, Tınmaz earns his income by working as a rented goalkeeper for a fee of 600 TL, while also saving teams from defeat.

A computer programming graduate, Kaan Tınmaz, who sweated in the Uşak Amateur League wearing the Karahallıspor jersey during his university years, redirected his career after returning to his hometown of İzmir and finding himself without a club. Transforming his regular training into a commercial model, Tınmaz began to fill the professional goalkeeper gap in indoor football fields by making appointments through the platform he established, 'Kiralık Kaleci İzmir' (Rental Goalkeeper İzmir). Thus, the biggest hassle of indoor football matches, the 'last-minute friend added' and the problem of not being able to find a goalkeeper, turned into a new business model thanks to the intelligence of İzmir's Kaan Tınmaz. Tınmaz provides services to teams as a 'Rental Glove' for a fee of 600 TL per match.

'I SHARE DESSERT BUT NOT THE BILL'

The young goalkeeper, who does not compromise on discipline, has clear working principles: "I never arrive late, I don’t argue with the referee, I will share the dessert after the match, but I won’t get involved in the bill." With these principles, Tınmaz has become a sought-after name in indoor football fields, receiving high marks from teams for his discipline.

'MY SCHEDULE IS BUSIER THAN THE SUPER LEAGUE'

Sharing his entrepreneurial journey with İhlas News Agency (İHA), Kaan Tınmaz stated, "At first, my friends thought I was joking. But one day, a team really needed a goalkeeper and they called me. We had a lot of fun at the end of the match, and I also made some pocket money. Now my phone doesn’t stop ringing; my weekly match schedule is busier than the Super League fixtures." The initiative of the young goalkeeper from İzmir is receiving great interest from both indoor football enthusiasts and social media users.
