In the Kepez district of Antalya, a 16-year-old boy lost his life in a traffic accident on his birthday while riding a motorcycle driven by his friend. The child's body was taken by his grieving family and relatives, and was brought to Kurşunlu Cemetery for burial.
In Antalya, 16-year-old Muhammed Durmaz lost his life in an accident that occurred when a motorcycle carrying two young people went out of control and crashed into a median.
The accident occurred last night around 02:00 in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of Kepez district, at the intersection of Ulubatlı Hasan Street and Müftü Talat Efendi Street. According to the information obtained, Muhammed Durmaz, whose birthday was yesterday and who turned 16, went out with his relative Hamza D. (15) both to celebrate his birthday and for an Eid al-Adha visit. Late at night, Muhammed Durmaz set off to return home on the motorcycle driven by his relative Hamza D.
MOTORCYCLE OUT OF CONTROL HITS MEDIAN
At the intersection of Ulubatlı Hasan Street and Müftü Talat Efendi Street, the motorcycle driven by Hamza D. went out of control for reasons not yet determined and slid on the road, crashing into the median. Durmaz, who was a passenger on the back seat of the out-of-control motorcycle and lost his balance, fell and first hit the median, then a lighting pole. Upon notification by those who witnessed the accident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
HE DIED ON HIS BIRTHDAY
The medical teams arriving at the given address determined during their checks that Muhammed Durmaz had lost his life. After the work of the prosecutor's office and the Crime Scene Investigation team, the child's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Following the procedures there, the body of Durmaz, who died on his birthday, was handed over to his family and relatives. Muhammed Durmaz's body, received amidst his mother's tears, was taken to Kurşunlu Cemetery for burial.
