After the ceasefire in Gaza, as a result of the prisoner exchange, 110 Palestinian hostages were released.
HE STAYED IN ISRAELI PRISON FOR 34 YEARS
Palestinian Muhammad Filne, who stayed in an Israeli prison for 34 years, stated that Palestinians were tortured, saying that before their release, soldiers dragged the prisoners on the ground with their hands and feet shackled and their eyes blindfolded, and hit their heads against the walls.
"THEY HIT MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALLS"
Filne, who reported being tortured for long hours by the Israeli prison administration, said, "Israeli soldiers shackled our hands and feet, blindfolded our eyes, dragged us on the ground, and hit our heads against the walls and doors. Then they mockingly asked, 'Are you blind?'"
"THEY DELIBERATELY DESTROYED THE ROOMS AFTER OCTOBER 7"
Filne stated, "After October 7, they deliberately destroyed the rooms, poured liquid oil on our clothes. They took our electrical devices. We were constantly beaten, and they sprayed tear gas. They were kicking us, dragging us on the ground, insulting us, and we were being humiliated. They raided the rooms with dogs at midnight."
"I COULDN'T RECOGNIZE MYSELF WHEN I SAW MYSELF"
Filne, who said they were starved, remarked, "Perhaps the total food we ate in three meals wouldn't be enough for a 2-year-old child. I was so exhausted that after being released, when I video-called my family in Ramallah, I saw myself on the screen but couldn't recognize myself. At first glance, I thought I was a stranger. It was forbidden to have mirrors in prisons. Even if they found a small mirror, they would beat us."
