In a fire that broke out on the ground floor of an apartment building in Çorlu, the newly moved-in tenant Enis Kirik was seriously injured. Residents of the neighborhood, who poured out into the street as a result of the fire, reported hearing sounds like explosions.
A fire broke out in a house in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, where a person had moved in as a tenant just hours earlier. In the fire, which left one person seriously injured, neighborhood residents reported that they woke up to a noise resembling an explosion.
The fire occurred in a ground-floor apartment on Manavgat Street in the Silahtarağa neighborhood at midnight. The fire broke out for an unknown reason in the apartment where Enis Kirik had moved in as a tenant in the evening hours. Upon notification, fire, natural gas, police, ambulance, and TREDAŞ teams were dispatched to the address.
EYEWITNESSES: WE HEARD AN EXPLOSION SOUND
The fire was extinguished by the intervention of the fire department. Enis Kirik, who suffered burns on his hands, face, neck, chest, and feet, was seriously injured and was taken to Çorlu State Hospital for treatment after the first intervention by health teams. One of the citizens who rushed to the street during the frightening fire expressed his astonishment by saying, "There was a puff sound," while another citizen stated that they heard an explosion sound.
