Ahlatcı Holding has discovered a gold reserve of 927,000 ounces as a result of its work in the Sarıkaya district of Yozgat. The Chairman of the Board, Ahmet Ahlatcı, stated, "When we took over the site, the Canada-based Eldorado Gold Corporation informed us that there was a reserve of around 250,000 to 300,000 ounces here. There are still areas where we have not been able to drill, and we believe that the reserve amount will increase once that is completed. Hopefully, it will reach the level of 1.5 million ounces. This is very important for our Yozgat."
Ahlatcı Holding has detected 927 thousand ounces of gold in the exploration activities carried out in the Sarıkaya district of Yozgat.
Ahlatcı Holding Chairman Ahmet Ahlatcı visited Governor Mehmet Ali Özkan in Yozgat. Later, Ahlatcı stopped by Sürmeligaz, the natural gas distribution company in Yozgat, where he told reporters that approximately 1.5 years ago, they acquired 7 sites in Sarıkaya from Tüprag Madencilik, a subsidiary of the Canada-based Eldorado Gold Corporation operating in Turkey, as Ahlatcı Gold Enterprises, which are publicly traded companies.

After taking over the sites, Ahlatcı explained that they started their work: "We began to investigate how much reserve there is here. It was stated that there were around 250-300 thousand ounces of reserve when it was transferred to us. Following this, we took over the sites through negotiations between the two companies.
"GOD WILLING, IT WILL REACH 1.5 MILLION OUNCES"
We instructed an independent company, Mitos, to assess the situation. They conducted the necessary drilling works, and we also carried out our own. After the studies, we found 927 thousand ounces of gold in only one of the 7 sites and a portion of another site. There are still areas where we have not been able to drill. We believe that when drilling is completed in those areas, the reserve amount will increase. God willing, it will reach 1.5 million ounces. This is very important for our Yozgat."
1000 PEOPLE WILL BE EMPLOYED
Ahlatcı stated that they plan to employ 1000 people in the newly established gold site. He shared that the gold is approximately worth around 4 billion dollars, emphasizing that this will support the economy. Ahmet Ahlatcı expressed that they expect to identify new reserves that support or constitute a part of the existing reserve in the other 6 sites. He mentioned that they started the fieldwork with a team of 50 people, stating, "Drilling works are ongoing. Although winter is approaching, we will continue the works. We think we will probably extract the first gold within 1.5 years or at the beginning of 2027."
