Selma Konak, the wife of master artist Volkan Konak, announced the new version of "Al Ömrümü" with wedding footage they had taken years ago. The post moved her fans.
"The Son of the North," etched in memory, Volkan Konak passed away at the age of 58 due to a heart attack during a concert he gave in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on March 31, 2025. The artist's unforgettable song "Al Ömrümü" has been re-released in a new version.
It has been learned that Konak dreamed of releasing his music video accompanied by wedding footage on February 14 if he had lived. That dream became a reality after his passing.
Volkan and Selma Konak united their lives in 1992 but could not have a wedding due to the financial difficulties of the time. The couple completed this unfulfilled dream 31 years later, in 2023, with a special outdoor wedding they organized. That meaningful night, where they said "yes" again in wedding attire, became an unforgettable moment for both themselves and their loved ones.
Now, those delayed yet heart-touching wedding images have come to life again alongside the new version of "Al Ömrümü." Selma Konak's post revealed both the timeless love story and the completion of a half-finished dream.
At the end of the music video, the words 'I couldn't get enough of you... Even in my last breath, your name is on my lips, Selma. My dear wife...' were featured.
