Heavy rainfall in Izmir has turned streets and avenues into lakes. While drivers are facing difficulties, municipal teams are continuing water drainage efforts.
After the warning from the İzmir Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center of the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy rain occurred in İzmir during the night hours. While puddles formed on some streets and avenues in the central districts of the city, vehicle and motorcycle drivers in traffic experienced difficult moments.
WATER DRAINAGE WORKS CONTINUE ON KORDON
Meanwhile, due to the storm that was effective yesterday, part of the Kordon area, which was submerged due to the sea overflow, is being worked on by municipal teams for the drainage of accumulated water and the clearing of blocked manholes, influenced by tonight's rainfall.
