"WE ARE READY TO COOPERATE WITH IRAN"
Mujahid stated in an interview with the Pashto service of Iranian radio on Sunday that the Kabul administration would cooperate with the Islamic Republic if such an attack were to occur and Iran requested assistance.
"IRAN WILL PREVAIL IN A POSSIBLE U.S. ATTACK"
Mujahid claimed in his statement that Iran "emerged victorious" from the conflict with Israel that occurred in June and lasted for 12 days. The Taliban spokesman asserted that Iran would also prevail in the face of a possible U.S. attack and expressed that they are closely monitoring regional developments.
TALIBAN IS STRENGTHENING RELATIONS WITH REGIONAL COUNTRIES
Since the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, the Taliban administration has been taking steps to strengthen its foreign policy relations with regional countries. It is known that diplomatic contacts and economic relations between Iran and Afghanistan have increased recently.
