It has been suggested that U.S. President Donald Trump would support Israel's attacks on Iran. In news reported by the U.S. press, it is claimed that during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last December, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that if an agreement with Iran could not be reached, Israel would support attacks on Iran's ballistic missile program.
The reports indicated that U.S. support for attacks on Israel could involve air supply support or obtaining permission to use the airspace of Arab countries.
U.S. AND IRAN TO MEET IN GENEVA ON TUESDAY
Following the first round of talks held on February 6 in Oman, the parties are expected to meet for the second round in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday. While Iran focuses solely on the nuclear program in the talks, the U.S. wants to include Iran's ballistic missile capacity and its enriched uranium in the negotiations.
NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE U.S. AND IRAN
The nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S., which were interrupted after Israel and the U.S. attacked Iran in June 2025, were resumed on February 6 in Oman.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Bakayi stated regarding the talks with the U.S., "The negotiations in Muscat between Iran and the U.S. ended with the parties reaching an agreement to continue discussions."
The negotiations took place during a period when tensions between Tehran and Washington had risen again, with Washington increasing its military buildup in the region against Tehran.
