In the incident that occurred in the Üzümlü neighborhood of Düziçi district in Osmaniye, a lightning strike hit an apartment during heavy rainfall. As a result of the lightning, pieces of plaster broke off from the apartment and scattered around, but there were no injuries as there was no one in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
In Osmaniye, due to the rain that started in the evening hours and quickly increased in intensity, many streets and avenues were flooded, and some businesses were inundated.
ROADS TURNED INTO PONDS
Due to the water accumulation in the city center, vehicles were stranded at various points. While heavy rain made traffic impossible, drivers and pedestrians experienced difficult moments.
CHILDREN PLAYED IN THE WATER PUDDLES
During the hours when the rain was effective, the Devlet Bahçeli Underpass was closed to traffic as a precaution. Osmaniye Municipality teams and firefighters intervened in the vehicles stranded in the water accumulation areas. Vehicles left on the road were towed to safe areas.
On the other hand, it was observed that children were playing in the water puddles accumulated between the neighborhoods.
