Heavy rains in Nepal claimed 100 lives.

According to news reports in the local press, a statement from the Nepal Ministry of Home Affairs indicated that search and rescue operations are ongoing due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall that has been affecting Kathmandu and its surroundings for the past three days. The statement reported that 100 people have lost their lives and 67 are missing due to the floods and landslides.

EDUCATION HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR 3 DAYS

Officials from the search and rescue teams noted that some main roads have been closed due to landslides, and vehicles have been stranded. The government announced that education in the region has been suspended for 3 days. The monsoon rains, which are effective in the country from June to September each year, lead to loss of life and property.
