According to the automotive sector data for October 2024, car sales decreased by 8.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, totaling 75,662 units. TOGG, which achieved high sales, surprisingly ranked third after Renault and Fiat.
According to the data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association for January-October 2024, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 1.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 947,166 units during the January-October period. In October, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 4% compared to the same period last year, totaling 97,274 units.
DECLINE IN AUTOMOBILE SALES
Automobile sales in October decreased by 8.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 75,662 units. However, compared to the average sales of the last 10 years in October, the automobile market showed a 41% increase, while the light commercial vehicle market increased by 37.1%. Vehicles in segments A, B, and C, which have lower tax rates, constituted 86.3% of the market. Segment C automobiles accounted for 55.4% with 415,671 units, while segment B automobiles had a 30.4% share with 228,142 units.

In October 2024, the best-selling automobiles were the Renault Clio, Fiat Egea Sedan, and Togg T10X. The sales of the top 20 brands and models, which totaled 75,662 units in October, are as follows:
