According to the analysis by İGD, the median rent in Turkey has risen to 22,000 TL. The provinces with the lowest rents are identified as Hakkari (12,250 TL), Aksaray (12,500 TL), and Muş (12,500 TL). As minimum wage negotiations approach, the burden of rent continues to be one of the biggest issues for workers.

According to the analysis of Istanbul Real Estate Valuation (İGD), the median rent in Turkey has risen to 22,000 TL, while the provinces with the lowest rent prices have been identified. Hakkari, Aksaray, and Muş topped the list.

MINIMUM WAGE NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting next Friday to determine the new wage that will be valid in 2026. During the meeting scheduled for December 12 at 14:00, the parties will share their general evaluations, and no figures will be mentioned in the initial phase. Currently, the net minimum wage is 22,104 TL, which continues to be a major agenda item for workers during this period of rapidly rising rental prices.

MEDIAN RENT REACHED 22,000 TL

According to a report by Türkiye newspaper; the analysis prepared by İGD based on advertisements revealed that the median rent amount across Turkey is 22,000 TL as of November 2025. This figure indicates that the average rent is almost equivalent to a minimum wage.

According to the research, the provinces with the lowest rent amounts are listed as follows:
