Observations made at the Milleyha Bird Paradise in Samandağ, Hatay, revealed that glue was applied to tree branches, causing birds to die in agony. Experts are calling for the perpetrators to be punished.

Heartbreaking scenes emerged during the work carried out in the Milleyha Bird Paradise located in the Samandağ district of Hatay. Birdwatchers discovered that some tree branches were coated with adhesive, causing birds to be trapped and die in agony.

BIRDS LEFT TO DIE IN SUFFERING

Observers noted that many bird species passing through the region, especially during migration periods, became immobilized due to the sticky substances applied to tree branches and eventually died. It was emphasized that capturing birds in this way is not only an act of environmental destruction but also a severe blow to the ecosystem.

"THOSE RESPONSIBLE SHOULD BE PUNISHED" FINDING

Nature conservation volunteers and birdwatchers called on the authorities to take action against this inhumane practice. There is an urgent demand to prevent such illegal hunting methods that cause great harm to the ecological balance in the region and to punish those responsible.
