A physical education teacher working at a high school in Sincan, Ankara, has been accused of harassing female students by sending a photo of his genitalia to the messaging group of the school's girls' volleyball team. Following complaints from parents, the teacher was taken into custody, and it was reported that he has been arrested and sent to prison, and his employment has been terminated.

DISGUSTING INCIDENT
The incident occurred on the evening of November 13 in Sincan. According to allegations, N. Ş., a 52-year-old physical education teacher at Yenikent İlksan Anadolu High School, sent photos of his genitalia to the messaging group of the school's girls' volleyball team. Following complaints from parents, police teams initiated an investigation and detained the harassing teacher. N. Ş., who was also dismissed from his position, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
HAD ENGAGED IN SIMILAR BEHAVIORS BEFORE
It was learned that the suspect stated in his testimony that he accidentally shared the photos in the group with students while trying to send them to his girlfriend. Parents, who said their children were in shock, claimed that N. Ş. had previously engaged in similar behaviors and noted that they would follow up on the process.
"I SAW MY DAUGHTER COME OUT OF HER ROOM CRYING"
Emre Özbek, one of the parents who spoke about the incident, said, "I saw my daughter come out of her room crying. She went to her mother. I tried to find out what happened. I saw that the physical education teacher sent a photo of his genitalia to a group where the girls' volleyball team was messaging and sexually harassed them. I was very angry. I reported it. We went to the police station. The school administration also came to us and supported us. We stayed there until the early hours of the morning. They took statements from the other children as well," he said.
"WE WANT ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOR HIM TO RECEIVE A HEAVIER PUNISHMENT"
Expressing that they suffered moral damage due to the situation, father Özbek said, "Experiencing such a thing has harmed us morally. We want everyone to know what this teacher has done and for the authorities to take action on the matter. We learned that the teacher was dismissed. His professional life is completely over. We want action to be taken for him to receive a heavier punishment," he stated.
"I AM EVEN SENSITIVE WHEN I HUG MY DAUGHTER"
Father Özbek emphasized that the suspect should receive the punishment he deserves, saying, "My daughter couldn't hold back at that moment and started crying while trembling. She is still a child. She didn't know what to do. I am even sensitive when I hug my daughter. Being subjected to such a thing by someone else has affected her greatly. We got permission from her school. I will get my daughter psychological support. Right now, all we want is for the suspect to receive the heaviest punishment. I stand by my daughter until the end. I will continue to fight until the end," he said.
"IT WAS ALLEGED THAT HE INVITED STUDENTS TO HIS ROOM BY BUYING THEM FOOD"
Özbek mentioned that there were allegations that the harassing teacher had engaged in similar behaviors before, saying, "We heard that this teacher had tried to get close to students before. It was alleged that he invited students to his room by buying food for those he gave money to. We received feedback that he hugged and touched students. Those who supported us had told us these things. I am very sad. At least there should be physical harassment. I want justice to be served," he said.
"WE THOUGHT WE WERE SENDING OUR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL SAFELY"
Sibel Dervazoğlu, one of the parents who said they were in fear due to the situation, stated, "Since I learned about the incident, I haven't been able to sleep. We thought we were sending our children to school safely. It saddened us that someone whose job is to teach would do such a thing. We are scared and worried. There were 14-year-old children in front of him. We will do whatever it takes to ensure he is punished, wherever we need to file a complaint. The same thing could have happened to my child as well. We are filing a complaint. When we spoke with the school administration, they said that the teacher would never be allowed to enter this school again. We are also worried about the future. This person could go out. He could open a private business."
"UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CANNOT CARRY THIS PROFESSION"
Dervazoğlu expressed that her daughter was not among the victims but that she was very worried, saying, "When I told my daughter about the situation, she became very anxious. We are uneasy; we haven't been able to sleep since yesterday. I want the school to ensure the safety of the children. Our children stay at school for hours. We have to trust the teachers. It is a very sad situation. Of course, not every teacher is like this. Unfortunately, there are people who cannot carry this profession," she said.
"OUR TEACHER CONTINUED TO WRITE AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED"
The victimized daughter of Özbek stated that she was greatly affected by the incident, saying, "I was following the conversations in the group about our match. Later, I encountered my friends' angry messages. My friends had written, 'Teacher, could you please delete these messages?' The teacher continued to write as if nothing had happened. Later, I saw the inappropriate photos he sent to the group. At that moment, I was in shock. I didn't realize what I was experiencing. I told my family about the situation. My mom and dad were also in shock. They reported it. We went to the police station. It was a very stressful day. I still don't realize what kind of thing I experienced. I am in shock and still cannot get over its effects. I feel unsafe," she expressed.
"I DO NOT WANT THIS PERSON TO TEACH AGAIN OR TO WALK FREELY"
The victimized student expressed that the suspect should not teach again, saying, "I heard that the teacher used to approach female students more closely and intimately in the past."
I don't want this person to teach again or move around comfortably. I want everyone to know about this disgraceful act. He should never be at ease. Normally, he would always speak harshly to us and wouldn't want us to respond, but he definitely didn't want us to leave the team," he stated.
