The statement of the young man who stabbed his mother, the school principal in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, to death while she was sleeping, and injured his father, aunt, and grandfather, was chilling. The high school student said in his statement, "I had no intention of doing such an act. I thought and waited for hours on the night of the incident. There was an evil inside me that I couldn't overcome. My mother was very authoritarian, and I was under pressure from them. The constant pressure I experienced was very disturbing to me."
In the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, a young man not only killed his mother with a knife but also injured his father, uncle, aunt, and grandfather. In his statement, the young man explained that he could not cope with the evil inside him and felt pressure from his family.
KILLED HIS MOTHER IN HER SLEEP
In an incident that occurred at 3:00 AM the previous night, 17-year-old high school student A.Ç., who went into a frenzy, stabbed his sleeping mother, Nilay Çoban, with a knife he took from the kitchen. Afterward, A.Ç. also injured his father, M.Ç., and then stabbed his uncle, G.Ç., his aunt, F.Ç., and his grandfather, C.Ç., who were on the lower floor. The first aid was administered to the injured at the scene, and they were later transferred to the hospital by ambulance. Injured mother Nilay Ç. lost her life, while her high school student son was arrested.
"THERE WAS AN EVIL INSIDE ME THAT I COULD NOT OVERCOME"
A.Ç.'s statement was chilling. In his statement, A.Ç. said, "I saw a man and a woman. One of them was guiding me in a good way, the other in a bad way. I had no intention of doing such an act. On the night of the incident, I thought and waited for hours. There was an evil inside me that I could not overcome. First, I stabbed my mother, who was sleeping in the bedroom, and then my father, who was sleeping in the other room. My aunt and uncle came down from the sounds of screaming, and I stabbed them too, as well as my grandfather. My mother was very authoritarian; I felt pressure from them. I was very disturbed because I was constantly under pressure."
